ServicesHardscape Installation
Hardscape Installation in Belle Isle
We build paver patios, walkways and low garden walls that stay level and drain the right way. Before we break ground, you get a written estimate, a realistic number of working days and a call from us whenever weather or materials move the plan.

Stone and paver work that holds its shape
Hardscape is the built part of your yard: the patio you sit on, the path to the side gate, the edge that keeps a raised bed in place. Done well, it disappears into daily life. Done poorly, it settles, puddles and grows weeds in every joint within a couple of years.
Most of the difference is underground. Sandy soil shifts when it is wet, so we excavate below the turf's root zone, lay a compacted crushed-stone base in lifts and set a slight slope away from your home before a single paver goes down.
We also tell you up front how long the job takes and which days we will be working. Paver work depends on dry ground, so if a storm stalls us, you hear it from us that day along with the new date.

What a hardscape job includes
- 01
Layout and grading
We mark the footprint with paint and stakes so you can walk it before we dig. Then we set grade so water runs toward the lawn or a drain, never toward your foundation.
- 02
Excavation and compacted base
We remove sod and soil to the needed depth and haul it away. Crushed stone goes in and is compacted in layers with a plate compactor, which is what keeps pavers from rocking later.
- 03
Pavers, natural stone or block
We install concrete pavers, travertine and segmental wall block. We bring samples to the walkthrough so you can see color and texture in your own light.
- 04
Edge restraint and joint sand
A buried edge restraint holds the field in place. Joints are filled with polymeric sand and misted to set, which slows weeds and ants.
- 05
Irrigation and turf tie-in
If sprinkler lines or heads sit in the way, we reroute them as part of the job. Torn turf at the edges is patched so the finished patio meets clean grass.
- 06
Cleanup at the end of each day
Driveways and walks are swept, offcuts are stacked or removed and the work area is left safe for kids and pets overnight.
Questions about Hardscape Installation?
Call(407) 783-8044Signs it is time for new hardscape
Pavers that rock or sink
Movement underfoot usually means the base was thin or never compacted. Resetting on top rarely lasts; the base needs rebuilding.
Water standing after rain
Puddles on a patio or against the house point to the wrong slope. We regrade so water leaves the surface within minutes.
Worn dirt paths across the lawn
If everyone cuts the same line to the shed or pool gate, a stepping-stone or paver walkway saves the grass.
Cracked concrete slab
An old slab with heaving cracks can be removed and replaced with pavers, which flex and can be repaired one piece at a time.
Beds washing into the yard
Mulch and soil spilling over after every storm is a sign a low wall or border would help. Our mulch and beds work pairs well with it.
How the work runs, start to finish
- 1
On-site walkthrough
We walk the area with you, measure, check drainage and talk through materials. You get a written estimate that lists each part of the job and the number of working days.
- 2
Scheduling and materials
Once you approve, we order materials and give you a start date and a morning arrival window. If a pallet is delayed, we call before it affects your day.
- 3
Excavation and base
The first days are the least visible and the most important: digging, hauling and compacting the base. We check grade with a level line before moving on.
- 4
Laying and finishing
Pavers or stone go down, cuts are made at the edges and joints are filled and set. We walk the finished surface with you and point out anything to keep off of while the sand cures.
What shapes the price of hardscape
We price hardscape job by job rather than at a flat rate per square foot, because two patios of the same size can call for very different work underneath. Every line on the written estimate gets explained before you decide. If a bigger project makes sense to spread out, you can finance up to $100,000 over a term of 2 to 12 years, and paying it off early carries no penalty.
- Size and shape
- Square footage drives material and labor. Curves and patterns like herringbone take more cuts and more time than a straight running bond.
- Material choice
- Standard concrete pavers, premium textured pavers and travertine sit at different price points and handle heat differently underfoot.
- Site access and removal
- Tight side yards mean hand-carrying base and pavers. Removing an old slab or deck adds demolition and haul-away.
- Grade and drainage
- A flat, well-drained yard needs little regrading. A low spot may need added fill, a drain or a short retaining wall.
Hardscape questions we hear often
How long does a paver patio take to install?
A modest patio usually takes a few working days, and larger or multi-level projects take longer. We give you the expected number of days in the estimate. If rain stops work, we call you with the revised dates rather than leaving you guessing.
Can you work during the rainy season?
Yes, with some planning. Summer afternoon storms are common, so we schedule base work for mornings and cover open excavation when weather moves in. We will not compact or lay pavers on saturated ground, since that is what causes settling later.
Are pavers better than a poured concrete patio?
Pavers flex with the ground instead of cracking, and a damaged piece can be lifted and replaced. Concrete can cost less up front but shows cracks and stains more. We are happy to talk through both at the walkthrough.
Will the work damage my lawn or sprinklers?
Some disturbance at the edges is unavoidable. We locate sprinkler lines before digging, reroute what is in the way and patch the turf around the finished edge. For larger lawn repairs, our sod installation crew can lay fresh grass afterward.
Do I need HOA or permit approval?
Many neighborhoods require HOA approval for patios and walls, and some projects need a permit. We provide a drawing and material specs for your HOA packet, and if a permit is needed, we handle it and build the timeline around it.

Plan your patio with a clear timeline
We will walk your yard, show you material samples and give you a written estimate with real working days. You will know when we arrive and what happens each day.
